Pros. The lift seems very well built. We have used it several times already and don't know why I didn't buy one 20 years ago!
Cons. Did arrive with a very slight bend in one ramp near where it bolts up. All the cables in the main ramp were routed wrong from factory. Requiring us (my son) to lay on his back, on the floor for an hour and disassemble the whole cable system, knock the pins out of the sheeves, and re route everything. It was a PIA and took 2 hours.
All in all, a great purchase that I am more than happy with so far. Would definitely purchase again.
If you need to free up some space in your shop, this one will do it!

Which unfortunately meant we used the wrong bolts in one area and so had to remove and replace them with the correct nuts and bolts adding a couple of hours to the assembly time.
The XLT 8,000 Lb Lift is built very well
I called the Mechanic's Superstore twice and talked to them at length before finally committing to buy. Both times I called with questions they were patient and answered all my questions.
The shipping experience was not that good. The freight terminal it was shipped to was in Salt lake City about 35 mi away and it was clear that the shipping company had not done a stellar job.
I had concerns that perhaps there were some bent or missing parts. After I got it home and put it in my field (awaiting assembly with some friends) I took a lot of pictures of the areas I was concerned with and forwarded all of that to the Mechanic's Superstore. They assured me that If there were any problems it would be taken care of. I actually had Triumph call me and ask for pictures and information as well. Everyone was very helpful. Fortunately, all the parts were there and there was only one bent part and it was able to be hammered straight.
Assembly was fun. The one runner with the hydraulic ram in it was very heavy. It required three of us to haul it in from my field. The written instructions were poor but we found a good video on YouTube that explained it really well and after watching it and fast forwarding through it for about 5 minutes we understood exactly what to do. We augmented the YouTube video with the paper instructions.
The entire assembly and final tweaking took us about 3 hours.
The "Triumph" stickers that are supposed to go on the posts were of poor quality and didn't stick well. I ended up not putting them on (instead putting a bunch of stickers on there from RockAuto which looks great). Also, the jack tray didn't really fit as I would expect and seems to be about an inch shorter than it should be, but it seems like it would work as is. I have one of my sons fabricating a better fitting one.
I'm 6 ft, and I can walk underneath the runners with no problem. My two adult sons are 6 ft 4, and 6 ft 5, and when we're working on a vehicle We don't even raise it all the way up because there's plenty of room! I love the fact that this lift is so tall and we can all work without crouching.
We've been storing a Subaru on top and parking another one below it. It fits phenomenally and has added a lot of room to the shop. We've got a big project starting on the top Subaru next week, but so far we haven't used it for anything except storage. But it's stable and we're comfortable with it. Overall, everything seems to be exactly as published and I am very content. So far, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lift!

BTW, don't settle for the entry level lift as you will experience bumping your head when walking under the lift. Also, the 6,000 lb capacity is not capable of lifting some of today's modern trucks and they are not wide enough either. The cost difference is not much more so just go for the larger lift.
I am extremely satisfied that I did my homework in researching the right company to buy these lifts from & before making my final decision on who to buy from. I selected TRIUMPH based on quality, set up & purchase price in BULK. TRIUMPH WON hands down.
These lifts are of top quality material. Built very well. The welds are well done. The Powder coating is AWESOME. Easy assembly, but it helps to have 2 people & a cherry picker / engine lift to help assemble 1 platform, because of the weight. 110 service verses 220.
I decided to purchase the Triumph NSS-8XLT Lift. I also decided to buy the Triumph NSS-8XLT Lift because Rich Rollins from Gas Monkey Garage promotes the Triumph 4 post lift brand.
I highly recommend these Triumph lifts to anyone looking for a good quality 4post lift that the average car collector can afford whose place has low ceiling clearance.

MONEY THAT IS WELL SPENT
Once receiving the lift I took inventory on parts. I was missing some nuts and bolts. I called and Luke and Jay made sure I received all missing pieces. They were able to get the parts to me in a short time.
I do have to say, the instruction book could be more intuitive.
It actually was easy to assemble but the runway with the hydraulics and cables was the heaviest to lift. It took three of us to put in place.
I like the fact that it can be moved around the garage as needed.
I would recommend this lift to anyone who needs a lift for storage or to just work on a car.

In the end I’m very happy with the lift and it works like it should.
My only complaint is with the assembly instructions. They showed pictures of parts that were from an earlier model. The pictures were also poor quality. The step-by-step instructions were vague, and components were poorly identified. Frankly, most children’s bicycles come with more detailed, accurate and complete instructions.

Very strong built and took 2 of us to put it together.
Very satisfied with the way is built.

This lift was delivered in the timeframe that I was giving when the order was placed. Fairly easy to assemble. Since this was a 1 person assembly, the use of a motor hoist or other lifting device is a must. Straight forward and quality components. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing to free up space.
I like that the cables were already ran through most of the pulleys,the release rods were already mounted to the cross members and the motor had a electric plug
I’m a 63 year old guy and I put it together by myself with the help of a motor hoist and some furniture dollys (Watch You Tube)
When the lift arrived, It was wrapped like crazy with plastic wrap. The bolts that held it to the framing was loose and let one arm slip and rubbed on one of the platforms. I had to flatten the mount plate for the motor and pump due to one corner bent really bad. Once I was able to get the bolt in, once tightened, it looked fine. A couple of bolts were missing that from not being tightened enough to last the trip but luckily I was able to use a couple from the packaging.
The instructions called for a long adjusting nut for the tension for the release rod, but that isn't the case. You will have to run the long nut as far on one rod as you can and set the rods where you want them before threading them together.
You will have to run the lift up and down with a car on it to get the cables adjusted correctly.
If you don't bolt it to the floor, lift it up with no vehicle it will seem unstable. Once you put a vehicle on it before you lift it, it will be stable.
All in all, a great lift. If I had a larger shop, I would buy another.
