Even though I had the same problems with assembly due instructions, I’m very pleased with the overall ramp. While I have not used it to speak of it this time, I believe it’s gonna serve my purpose real well. I give the ramp high praise, the instructions, not so good
Definitely getting one more next year.
As many others have noted- the instructions leave a lot to be desired- but it was pretty easy to figure out without them. The caster set came in handy for moving the lift to its final mounting location. I am happy with my purchase and plan to get another one in the next year or so.
The next issue was this is a 30 amp lift thus requires 10-2 wiring but came with a standard plug that isn't even a 20 amp plug end. So I had to cut that off redo it for a 30 amp plug. I had to do the same thing with the tire balancer I got. Over all this is great for minimal use for say. I wouldn't buy this lift if I was going to use it daily in a commercial setting. But for now this is great for me to store a car on top and below it. It took about 5ish hours to finish the install which we assembled the ramps wrong the first time so had to take them apart to flip some parts around once we realized the issue due to no directions telling you what to do.
The plus for me was this lift allowed me not to have to worry about unloading it. They showed up with a lift gate truck rolled it in my garage with a pallet jack. Overall no issues with mechanic superstore they were great shipping was fast and delivery was setup with a simple phone call. Overall I will buy again. I might consider the one that the ramps aren't cut in half which would make install much faster. Then just paying a tow truck company or rental company to get it from the truck and onto say a trailer for me. As with the extra cost I could of paid them that difference to do just that.
I wish the company would take the time to give solid directions or even a good video of the directions for people to follow as alot of the issues wouldnt of happened if they had good directions.
